Farnsworth is a podcatcher that allows you to subscribe to and play video and audio podcasts.
Farnsworth also allows you to setup live streams to watch or listen. There are a bunch of streams to watch such as those at http://www.ustream.tv.
* TV-Like Experience *
When playing podcasts, Farnsworth with automatically play the unplayed episodes of all your subscribed podcasts in chronological order. However, at any point, you can select a particular episode you want to play immediately.
* Control *
Farnsworth gives you skip forward and reverse controls which will cause the podcast to skip forward or reverse 30 seconds at a time. This is great for skipping boring parts or commercials you aren't interested in.
There is also a "Mark as Played" control that tells Farnsworth you are done with the current podcast and it will then immediately load up the next podcast. This is very useful to skip ending credits of a podcast or to skip a particular episode you aren't interested in.
* Streaming Only *
Farnsworth only streams the podcasts. It does not download the podcasts before playing them. This is nice as you can watch podcast episodes immediately and no space is taken up on your computer with downloaded podcast episodes. However, this does mean you have to have an active internet connection to watch the podcasts.
* Automatic Refresh *
Farnsworth will automatically check for new episodes of your subscribed podcasts at regular intervals. The time between refreshes is configurable via the Farnsworth Preferences panel.
