VERSION 1.2 - germination begins
Enact is built to unfurl new functionality over time.
The internal model can be summarized as:
[Data Sources] —> (content) [Enact embedded capabilities] —> (content) [Data Targets]
The set of data sources will expand.
The embedded capabilities will increase.
The set of data targets will grow.
But here at version 1.2, the initial public version, we've started very small.
The 3 most basic text Data Sources: the Clipboard, Clipping, macOS Service calls.
'Clipping' is text which has been dragged onto either the Enact dock icon or its main window
macOS service calls are generally initiated by right-clicking on a text selection
Customizable citations are automatically provided for both Clipping or Service data sources
All data sources have a filterable list of the sentences or paragraphs
A configurable split screen which displays both this list and a text region allows:
• list selection drives highlighting - sentence by sentence highlighting with auto-scroll
• list selection drives reconstruction - only selected list items with a custom delimiter
Smart Select feature allows for automatic sub
Mail, Messages, Notes, Reminders, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Airdrop, Speak, txt, RTF, PDF, custom-sized PDF, and .AIFF
Version 1.2 also features:
list selection driving highlighting within text
